Tamashika is a fast-paced, arcade-style corridor shooter from developer Quicktequila and publisher EDGLRD. It drops players into a psychedelic first-person gauntlet with hand-drawn animation, a procedurally generated daily level, and a design built entirely around flow state and moment-to-moment precision. There’s one gun, one blade, and no margin for error.

A game built on flow can’t afford a single dropped frame. Tamashika’s C# codebase had to hold rock-solid performance on every platform, including Switch, and garbage collection hitches were not an option. The game’s daily level and competitive design also depended on leaderboards and network features that had to work reliably on every console.

Our deep experience with MonoGame and these platforms let us reduce risk for both the developer and publisher from day one. We tuned the codebase for consistent frame pacing without GC stalls, and built the leaderboard and online systems that the daily challenge depends on. On PlayStation 5, we added a 120Hz rendering mode and DualSense haptic effects.

Tamashika launched on time across all console platforms, alongside the PC release.
